Special Meeting Minutes held Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 7:00 pm

Trustee Condon called the Special Meeting of the Harvard Fire Protection District Board of. Trustee to order at 7:02 pm. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss and take action on proposed Ordinance authorizing the purchase of a pumper/tanker fire truck and waiver of competitive bidding pursuant to 70 ILCS 705/11k (a)(10), if necessary, for a price not to exceed $500,000.00 and authorize the Board President to negotiate and execute all necessary documents to finance said purchase within the limits set by law.

  1. Pledge of Allegiance.
  2. Roll Call- Trustee Hugg, Trustee Kelnhofer, Trustee Carbonetti, Trustee Clarke, Trustee Condon
  3. Public Comment- None
  4. Discussion and action on proposed Ordinance authorizing the purchase of a pumper/tanker fire truck and waiver of competitive bidding pursuant to 70 ILCS 705/11k(a)(10), if necessary, for a price not to exceed $500,000.00 and authorize the Board President to negotiate and execute all necessary documents to finance said purchase within the limits set by law. B.C. Pierce discusses engine options and choices brought to the Board by the Committee. Board of Trustees decide to put this to bid and publish in the Northwest Herald.

Motion to delete the Ordinance authorizing the purchase of a pumper/tanker fire truck and waiver of competitive bidding pursuant to and replace with authorize bidding for a truck with bids to be returned no later than February 8, 2019 at 12:00pm. (Carbonetti) Seconded by Kelnhofer. Vote- all ayes.
  6. Motion to adjourn: (Clarke) and seconded by Carbonetti.
