The American Heart Association (AHA) states that
the most important determinant of survival from sudden cardiac arrest
is the presence of a trained rescuer who is ready, willing, able,
and equipped to act. The Harvard Fire Protection District (HFPD) is
dedicated to teaching the members of this community the importance and
structure of early access, CPR , and Defibrillation.
The HFPD currently employs 6
AHA certified CPR Instructors that together have over 50 years experience
in pre hospital emergency medicine. These instructors are dedicated
to teaching the fundamentals of Basic Life Support to all levels of health
care providers and community members alike.
We are currently establishing
a list of interested persons/groups that would like to become certified in
CPR and Defibrillation. If you are interested or would like more
