Cigarette Safety

On Average 760 People are Killed Every Year Due to Cigarette Related Fires.

SAFETY TIPS:

Encourage smokers to smoke outside

Keep cigarettes away from mattresses, bedding and furniture

Do NOT rest ashtray on sofas or chairs

Completely douse butts with water before throwing them away

Smoking is NOT allowed in a home where oxygen is in use

Ask your visitors to keep all ignition sources (lighters, matches) with them at all times

Keep ignition sources out of reach of children or in a locked cabinet

If you do smoke, choose fire-safe cigarettes.  They are less likely to cause a fire.
